Square Enix Reveals Adorable New Final Fantasy Fluffy Sling TCG Deck Box Collection
Square Enix has opened pre-orders for a new collection of Final Fantasy Fluffy Sling Deck Boxes, transforming four of the series’ most recognizable mascots into soft trading card storage cases that can also be worn as shoulder bags.
For nearly four decades, the Final Fantasy series has introduced countless memorable creatures alongside its heroes and villains, with characters such as Chocobo, Moogle, Cactuar and Fat Cat becoming fan favorites well beyond the games themselves through merchandise, spin-offs and recurring appearances across the franchise.
The new collection brings each of those mascots to life as plush deck boxes, combining a playful appearance with practical storage for trading card players and collectors alike.
The collection arrives as Square Enix has also launched the first official Final Fantasy TCG merch collection, which features apparel based on the popular trading card game.
They also recently announced the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game Special Collection Final Fantasy X, a premium 13-card anniversary set featuring foil treatments, Al Bhed card text and signature-stamped cards centered on Tidus, Yuna and the rest of the game’s main party.
First up in the “Final Fantasy Fluffy Sling Deck Box” collection is the Chocobo Fluffy Sling Deck Box, priced at ¥7,590 (approx. $48 USD / £38 GBP), which recreates the series’ iconic yellow bird with embroidered facial details and soft plush fabric, making it instantly recognizable whether displayed on a shelf or carried over your shoulder.
The Moogle Fluffy Sling Deck Box, priced at ¥7,590 (approx. $48 USD / £38 GBP), features the lovable creature’s white fur, pink nose, tiny wings and signature red pom-pom, giving one of Final Fantasy’s most enduring mascots an equally charming new form.
The Cactuar Fluffy Sling Deck Box, priced at ¥7,590 (approx. $48 USD / £38 GBP), turns the quirky desert-dwelling monster into a surprisingly cute accessory while preserving its unmistakable green body and expressive face.
The Fat Cat Fluffy Sling Deck Box, priced at ¥7,590 (approx. $48 USD / £38 GBP), rounds out the lineup with an oversized plush design inspired by one of Final Fantasy XIV’s most beloved companions, complete with its familiar relaxed expression and rounded shape.
Each deck box includes a removable inner deck case capable of holding up to 145 single-sleeved trading cards, allowing the outer plush to function as both protective storage and an everyday carry case.
A detachable shoulder strap is also included with every design, making it easy to switch between using the collection as a traditional deck box or as a compact shoulder pouch for conventions, local tournaments or everyday use.
Each Fluffy Sling Deck Box measures approximately 11 × 14.5 × 15.5 cm, giving the collection enough space for cards while maintaining a compact size that remains comfortable to carry.
The Final Fantasy Fluffy Sling Deck Box collection is available to pre-order through the official Square Enix e-STORE and reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
Each design is currently scheduled for release on November 27, 2026, in Japan.
