Square Enix Opens Pre-Orders for Stunning PLAY ARTS Shin Tifa Lockhart Figure
Square Enix has officially opened pre-orders for a new figure based on the hit action role-playing game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
The highly articulated “PLAY ARTS Shin Tifa Lockhart” recreates the owner of the 7th Heaven bar in incredible detail.
The developer has been rapidly expanding its figure portfolio in recent months, with one of the most recent announcements revealing that a pair of Chrono Trigger figures will soon join their “FORM-ISM” statue line.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth serves as the critically acclaimed second installment in the ongoing remake project of the legendary 1997 PlayStation classic.
The game’s story follows Cloud Strife and his companions as they step outside the dystopian city of Midgar, tracking the rogue soldier Sephiroth.
Tifa Lockhart is a core member of the eco-terrorist faction AVALANCHE and a skilled martial artist who utilizes devastating hand-to-hand combat techniques.
Her fierce loyalty and deep personal history with Cloud ensure her place as one of the most popular characters in the entire franchise.
This new Tifa figure continues the transition from Square Enix’s long-running PLAY ARTS Kai line to the newly upgraded PLAY ARTS Shin brand.
The PLAY ARTS SHIN line includes a completely revamped internal joint system that eliminates the clicking mechanism found in older models, resulting in incredibly smooth and expansive articulation.
A major highlight of the figure is the introduction of movable eyeballs, granting owners the ability to adjust her gaze for a wider variety of dynamic poses.
Great care was taken to faithfully recreate her athletic physique, flowing dark hair, and the intricate textures of her leather gloves and boots.
To ensure maximum poseability without sacrificing aesthetic quality, the designers utilized real stretchable fabric to construct her thigh-high socks.
Several interchangeable parts are also included, such as an aggressive facial expression suited for battle scenes and a specialized hair piece simulating motion.
Fans will also receive multiple hand options, including a specific piece designed to elegantly hold a delicate flower.
The “PLAY ARTS Shin Tifa Lockhart” is priced at 26,400 yen (approx. $172 USD / £137 GBP).
