Square Enix is opening its first-ever retail store focused solely on capsule toys
Square Enix has announced that it is opening its first-ever, official retail store that will be primarily focused on “gashapon,” or capsule toys.
The new store is titled “SQEX CAPSULE GARDEN” and it will be located on the 3rd floor of the Shibuya Sakura Stage building in Tokyo, Japan.
At its grand opening, the store will feature a lineup of nine different products.
These will be capsule toys themed around Square Enix’s most representative and iconic video game franchises, such as Dragon Quest, NieR and Final Fantasy.
The company has also stated that new products will be added to the store’s lineup on an ongoing basis.
This new specialty store marks a new retail venture for the acclaimed video game publisher.
The “SQEX CAPSULE GARDEN” is scheduled to open on Wednesday, the 29th of October.
