Shinobu Kocho’s unique Nichirin Sword is getting a high-end lifesize replica
A new, high-end collectible replica has been announced, featuring the unique Nichirin Sword of the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, from the popular anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
The new product is the latest entry in the “PROPLICA” line from Bandai Spirits.
PROPLICA is a premium brand of 1:1 scale, life-sized replicas of iconic props from popular anime and movies, which often feature built-in light and sound effects.
Shinobu Kocho’s Nichirin Sword is one of the most distinctive and unusual weapons in the entire series.
Unlike a traditional katana, her blade is incredibly thin and features a sharp, needle-like tip, similar to an insect’s stinger.
The sword is not designed for beheading demons, but rather for injecting them with a lethal dose of wisteria-based poison.
The sword is also known for its intricate, butterfly-shaped handguard, or “tsuba.”
This new announcement confirms that this iconic weapon will be brought to life as a full-sized, collectible replica.
This new PROPLICA replica joins the recently released “PROPLICA Nichirin Sword (Tanjiro Kamado) Kyojuro Rengoku’s Tsuba ver.”, which recreates the specific version of Tanjiro’s Nichirin Sword that he uses after the events of the Mugen Train arc.
The teaser of the new PROPLICA of Shinobu Kocho’s Nichirin Sword was released to coincide with the ongoing theatrical run of the new film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1: Akaza’s Return.
