Sega Announces Sonic 35th Anniversary Live Concert World Tour

Sega has officially partnered with production team Senbla to announce a massive global music tour celebrating the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
“Sonic Live In Concert” will be held to mark the thirty-fifth anniversary of the iconic speed-based platformer through a unique live audio-visual experience.

First racing onto the Sega Genesis hardware in 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog completely redefined the platforming genre by introducing momentum-based physics and intricate multi-tiered level designs.
This groundbreaking software quickly grew into a massive global gaming phenomenon, inspiring countless sequels, animated adaptations, and highly successful cinematic releases.

Sonic the Hedgehog remains incredibly popular among players for its fast-paced action, memorable character designs, and unmistakable musical identity.
For “Sonic Live In Concert,” a dedicated live ensemble consisting of rock musicians and vocalists will perform a wide array of defining songs spanning the entire history of the games.

Electronic arrangements and instrumental renditions of classic tracks will accompany some of the most exciting moments from the vast software catalog.
Attendees will hear everything from the nostalgic melodies of Green Hill Zone to heavy modern rock anthems like “Undefeatable”.

Synchronized high-definition gameplay footage will play on large screens behind the stage to perfectly match the live performances.
Organizers have also woven musical Easter eggs directly into the arrangements to reward eagle-eared listeners.

Live sets will specifically honor the creative legacy of legendary composers Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani, who have helped shape the sound profile of the series across multiple console generations.
Ollie Rosenblatt, CEO of Senbla, noted that the team wanted to create a show that stays true to what fans love about the music, ranging from melodic electronic themes to high-energy rock.

Ivo Gerscovich, Chief Business and Brand Officer at Sega of America, emphasized that music has always shaped how players experience this world and that this concert brings together that emotion and creativity.
