Sanrio and Seiko Team Up for Pompompurin 30th Anniversary Watch

Sanrio has teamed up with watch manufacturer Seiko to celebrate a major milestone for its beloved golden retriever mascot, Pompompurin.
To commemorate his debut three decades ago, the “Pompompurin 30th Anniversary Seiko Collaboration Watch” has officially been revealed.

Pompompurin first appeared in 1996 and quickly became one of the most recognizable faces in the corporate mascot world.
The adorable dog is known for his trademark brown beret, his laid-back personality, and his absolute love for his mother’s homemade pudding.

Over the years, he has consistently ranked high in annual character popularity polls, securing a massive and dedicated global fanbase.
This enduring popularity has led to countless merchandise lines, themed cafes, and high-profile brand partnerships.

Now, the famous Japanese watchmaker Seiko is bringing a touch of elegance to the character’s special birthday celebration.
The commemorative timepiece features an elegant aesthetic that seamlessly blends character charm with everyday practicality.
Its dial is painted in a soft, gentle yellow hue directly inspired by the golden retriever’s iconic fur.

The watch face features an illustration of the birthday boy alongside his hamster friend Muffin, looking back sweetly at the wearer.
Careful attention was paid to the intricate details marking the hours on the dial.
The twelve o’clock position is decorated with a tiny graphic of a sweet caramel pudding.

The five o’clock mark features a subtle nod to the character’s famous star-shaped bottom mark.
The durable stainless steel case and metal band provide a sophisticated finish that easily matches both casual and formal outfits.
A curved Hardlex glass crystal protects the face, while the internal quartz movement guarantees accurate timekeeping.
The watch is also built to withstand daily life with a water resistance rating of ten atmospheres.

Buyers will receive their timepiece inside a special house-shaped presentation box decorated with exclusive thirtieth-anniversary logos.
This unique packaging is designed to double as an adorable interior decoration for a bedroom or desk.
This premium accessory is strictly limited to a production run of just 2,000 units worldwide.

The commemorative watch is priced at 49,280 yen (approx. $320 USD / £258 GBP) and each unit features a unique edition number engraved directly onto the stainless steel case back.
Reservations officially opened on Thursday, April 16, 2026, through the PREMICO online shop.
The manufacturer expects to begin shipping the finished watches to customers from early July 2026.
