SAND: Raiders of Sophie Confirms Release Window for PC and PS5

Publisher tinyBuild, working with developers Hologryph and TowerHaus, has revealed the official launch window for the open-world extraction shooter SAND: Raiders of Sophie.
The game is confirmed to launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in March.

Following this initial release, the title will arrive on Xbox Series consoles at a later date.
Set in the post-apocalyptic dunes of a fallen planet named Sophie, SAND blends traditional first-person shooter action with massive-scale vehicular mechanics.

The core premise involves players operating gigantic, customizable mechanical walkers called Tramplers.
These Tramplers are crucial for survival, acting as a main base, mode of transport, primary storage, protection from the harsh elements, and a formidable weapon.

Players are encouraged to build, customize, and fortify these mechanical companions from the ground up as they face the dangers of the world.
The gameplay is structured as a player-versus-player-versus-environment (PvPvE) extraction shooter.

Players can venture out solo or with a group of friends to engage in frantic first-person combat.
Threats include rival players, who are also scouring the map for wealth, and the undead former inhabitants of the hostile planet.

The ability to weaponize Tramplers allows for large-scale combat across the dunes of Sophie, introducing a high-stakes element to player engagements.
Exploration is a key component of the extraction loop.

The world is littered with the ruins of a fallen civilization, including abandoned streets, monuments, and wrecks.
These locations hold untold riches, making it necessary for players to scour them to recover valuable loot, weapons, and resources.

Success is ultimately measured by a player’s ability to fight off competing pirates and extract their spoils, solidifying their reputation as a notorious pirate of the sands.
