San Diego Comic-Con 2025 to host major Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary celebration

A major celebration for the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is officially coming to San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
It has been announced that a dedicated Gundam booth will be part of the world’s largest comic and entertainment convention, which runs from Thursday, July 24th to Sunday, July 27th at the San Diego Convention Center.

The booth will be themed around Gundam Wing, which holds a special place in the franchise’s history as the first Gundam series to be broadcast in the United States.

The celebration will be highlighted by a special panel event titled “GUNDAM Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing”, scheduled for Thursday, July 24th, from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM in Room 6BCF.

The panel will feature a reunion of key members from the original English dub cast, including Mark Hildreth (the voice of Heero Yuy), Scott McNeil (Duo Maxwell), and Brad Swaile (Quatre Raberba Winner). They will be joined on stage by Naohiro Ogata, an Executive Producer from Bandai Namco Filmworks.

Attendees can expect the panel to celebrate the three-decade legacy of the iconic anime, as well as feature the latest announcements regarding the “Gundam W 30th Anniversary” project and other new information from the wider Gundam series.

A special gift for attendees is also planned, with further details to be announced later.

For fans unable to attend the convention, a special program featuring the panel will be live-streamed on the official Gundam Channel on YouTube.
The stream is scheduled for Saturday, July 26th, at 7:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
At the convention itself, attendees can visit the Bandai Hobby Exhibition booth (Booth #3829), which will be themed around Gundam Wing.
The space will feature related merchandise and a statue of the iconic Wing Gundam.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary and the San Diego Comic-Con appearance, the creditless version of the series’ ending theme, “It’s Just Love!”, has been officially released on the Gundam Channel on YouTube.
As Gundam Wing celebrates its 30th anniversary, other events have included Gundam Wing-themed shops opening across Japan, exclusive merchandise being sold at KFC and a limited-edition PC case featuring the Wing Zero.
