Robert Gilliam’s Zaku II joins Bandai’s ROBOT SPIRITS line

Pre-orders are set to open for a specialized High Mobility Type Zaku II piloted by one of the Principality of Zeon’s legendary aces.
The new figure is the “ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> MS-06R-2 Robert Gilliam’s High Mobility Type Zaku II ver. A.N.I.M.E.”

Based on the Mobile Suit Gundam MSV (Mobile Suit Variations) design series, this figure depicts the personal machine of Colonel Robert Gilliam.

The figure faithfully reproduces his custom blue and beige color scheme and specific armor details, such as the use of the standard Mass Production Zaku’s spiked shoulder armor, in line with the original setting art.

It features the high articulation standards of the ver. A.N.I.M.E. line, including a movable mono-eye for expressive posing.

To recreate the intense battles of an ace pilot, the set is packed with a wide array of weaponry and dynamic effect parts.

The full product details have been confirmed by Bandai Spirits as follows:
- “ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> MS-06R-2 Robert Gilliam’s High Mobility Type Zaku II ver. A.N.I.M.E.”

The figure stands approximately 12.5 centimeters tall and is made from ABS and PVC.
It includes a Zaku Bazooka, Zaku Machine Gun, Giant Bazooka, and Heat Hawk (in both illuminated and stored forms).

Effect parts include a Zaku Machine Gun flash, a bazooka firing effect, and explosion effects.
It comes with a massive set of vernier effects (6 curved, 4 straight) to showcase the suit’s high mobility.

Other accessories include interchangeable hands, a hand storage deck, and various joint parts for mounting weapons.
This release adds to the growing lineup of MSV ace units in the ROBOT SPIRITS line.

Bandai Spirits also recently revealed several other major Gundam items for 2026, including the “METAL BUILD Gundam Barbatos” and the “MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus Expansion Set” celebrating the Iron-Blooded Orphans anniversary.

The “ROBOT SPIRITS Robert Gilliam’s High Mobility Type Zaku II” is priced at 8,800 yen (approx. $57.60 USD / £45.60 GBP).

Pre-orders are scheduled to open from November 28 via the Premium Bandai online store, and fans can expect pre-orders to begin shipping in June 2026.
