Retro Inspired Platformer Duskfade Unveils New Gameplay Trailer

Fireshine Games and Weird Beluga Studio have released an all-new gameplay trailer for their upcoming 3D action platformer, Duskfade.
The trailer showcases the title’s fast-paced platforming, expressive worlds, and stylish combat.

Duskfade is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
The game is positioned as a heartfelt throwback and a love letter to the players who grew up on PlayStation games, drawing clear influence from classics of the console’s golden era.

The developers explicitly cite inspirations such as Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Kingdom Hearts, aiming to recapture the spirit of when colorful, story-driven platformers were a core part of the PlayStation identity.
While rooted in old-school design, Duskfade is built with modern technology to deliver the polish and fluidity expected from today’s action games.

The project recently garnered significant attention following its appearance at the New Game Plus Showcase.
During the event, the developers not only presented the brand-new gameplay trailer but also revealed footage from a boss fight.

The presentation was met with strong positive reactions and enthusiasm across social media, particularly among prominent YouTube and Twitch content creators.
Eager players do not have to wait until the official launch to experience the adventure.

A playable demo for Duskfade is currently available to download on Steam and has already achieved an impressive 91 percent positive rating from community feedback.
This early access gives fans an opportunity to sample the game’s movement, combat, and unique world design.
The full version of Duskfade is due to be released later in 2026.
