PUBG: BLINDSPOT Confirms Early Access Launch on February 5

The free-to-play team-based shooter PUBG: BLINDSPOT is set to launch into Early Access for PC via Steam on February 5, 2026.
This announcement comes from publisher KRAFTON and developer PUBG Studios, introducing a new direction for the popular gaming franchise in a top-down, five-versus-five format.

The initial Early Access version will feature the “core gaming experience” of PUBG: BLINDSPOT, with the development team planning regular updates to enhance the title.
These updates will focus on refining gameplay systems, balancing class and weapon performance, and adding new features and content.

The duration of the Early Access phase will be determined by the speed of development and the incorporation of player feedback, a standard and crucial process for many modern multiplayer releases.
PUBG: BLINDSPOT is designed as a player-versus-player-focused top-down shooting game, aiming to deliver a realistic and fast-paced gun experience inspired by the original high-stakes survival game, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.

Players will engage in skill-based, thrilling gunfights using a comprehensive arsenal of weaponry.
This includes assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, long-range weapons such as sniper rifles and DMRs, pistols, and various explosive tools like grenade launchers.

Each weapon type is intended to come with its own unique characteristics and feel.
The core objective of combat revolves around the Crypt, utilizing a widely recognized bomb mission ruleset in the top-down view.

The attacking team is tasked with hacking a hidden Crypt within the building structure by installing a Decrypter.
This can involve using explosive hammers or grenade launchers to breach defenses and walls to reach their target.

Conversely, the defending team must block access points and set up barricades to prevent the Decrypter’s activation.
Once the Decrypter is active, the Crypt changes from a blue to a red state, signaling a successful hack.

Gameplay emphasizes CQB cooperative tactics, focusing on Close-quarters Battle (CQB), a core element of modern indoor warfare involving quickly securing lines of sight and attacking before the enemy is aware.
PUBG: BLINDSPOT facilitates this with a real-time shared line of sight feature among teammates, which encourages immediate, non-verbal cooperation crucial for success in the fast-paced action against opposing players.

The game also features unique characters and specialized gadgets.
Each character has preferred weapons and specialized equipment at their disposal.

Fans of the franchise will recognize weapons such as the Mk14, AWM, and P90.
A variety of unique gadgets are available, including Blue Zone grenades, recon drones, grenade launchers, and proximity explosives.

Standard throwable items like flashbangs and smoke grenades are also confirmed to be part of the tactical options.
