Pre-registration opens for new Highschool of the Dead anime game

A new video game has been announced based on the cult classic anime series Highschool of the Dead, nearly fifteen years after the original anime’s broadcast.
The new title is being developed for the G123 browser-based gaming platform.

Highschool of the Dead, based on the manga by Daisuke Satō and Shōji Satō, is a fan-favorite series that follows a group of high school students as they attempt to survive the first days of a zombie apocalypse.
This new game, titled Highschool of the Dead: DAY 0, is a “survival tower defense” game.

Players will take on the role of the protagonist, Takashi Komuro, and must survive in a world overrun by “<Them>” by building up and defending a settlement with their allies.

All of the character illustrations for the game are brand-new, original artwork created for this title.

The game will also feature a variety of original costumes for the characters that were not in the original series, such as swimsuits.

A pre-registration campaign for the new game is now underway, and a tiered reward system is in place, where all players will receive in-game items at launch based on the total number of pre-registrants.
The pre-registration rewards are as follows:
- 10,000 Registrations
10x Normal Supply Box Keys
- 30,000 Registrations
An additional 10x Normal and 10x Advanced Supply Box Keys
- 50,000 Registrations
An additional 10x Normal, 10x Advanced Supply Box Keys, and a special “Kunoichi” partner skin for the character Saeko Busujima.

A social media campaign is also running on the game’s official X, where followers who repost the campaign message can enter a lottery to win Amazon gift cards.

Highschool of the Dead: DAY 0 is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases that will be available in multiple languages, including Japanese and English.
Players can pre-register via the official G123 website.
