Pre-orders open for transforming figure of ASTRO BOT’s controller spaceship, the Dual Speeder

Pre-orders are set to open for a new, high-end die-cast figure based on the hugely popular PlayStation 5 title, Astro Bot.
The new “Chogokin Astro Bot & Dual Speeder” is being released by Bandai’s Tamashii Nations brand.

Astro Bot is the PlayStation 5 exclusive action game that was released in 2024 and went on to win the coveted Game of the Year award.

The Chogokin line is Bandai’s premium die-cast toy brand, famous for its use of metal parts and complex engineering.

This new set includes a figure of Astro Bot and his Dual Speeder, which is faithfully shaped like a DualSense Wireless Controller.

The Speeder itself features a complex transformation, changing from its controller form into a spaceship for flight.

The figure features a transformation gimmick, allowing it to transform step-by-step as you press the various buttons on the controller form.

It is also equipped with an LED light-up gimmick for the engine nozzle, which is powered by three LR44 batteries.

The set includes joint parts and a dedicated stand, which allows the Dual Speeder to be displayed in its flight mode.

The “Chogokin Astro Bot & Dual Speeder” is made from ABS, die-cast metal, and PVC, and measures approximately 16 centimeters wide in its controller form.

Priced at 29,700 yen (approx. $192.90 USD / £154.59 GBP), pre-orders for the figure are scheduled to open on November 13 via hobby goods retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan, and it is scheduled to be released in June 2026.
