Pre-orders open for new official Gundam winter jacket collection
Pre-orders have officially opened for a premium line of Gundam-themed down jackets created in collaboration with the renowned bedding manufacturer, nishikawa.
The new “STRICT-G Gundam Series nishikawa Upcycled Down Jacket” collection features high-quality outerwear based on three classic Universal Century titles.
This collaboration utilizes “nishikawa Upcycled Down,” a sustainable material derived from the high-quality “second down” generated during the sorting process of nishikawa’s famous bedding products.
This sanitary goose down is carefully cleaned and sorted in domestic factories to ensure high heat retention and resource efficiency.
The jackets are designed for both urban and outdoor use, featuring a glossy, water-repellent nylon shell and practical details like water-stop zippers and fleece-lined pockets to keep hands warm.
Each jacket is decorated with four patches on the chest and sleeves, representing motifs from their respective series.
Here is the full product lineup:
- “Mobile Suit Z Gundam” Hyaku Shiki Model
Features a design inspired by the golden mobile suit piloted by Quattro Bajeena.
- “Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack” Amuro Ray Model
Features motifs related to the legendary ace pilot and the Londo Bell unit.
- “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” Mafty Model
Features designs based on the anti-Federation organization led by Hathaway Noah.
This announcement adds to a massive winter lineup for STRICT-G.
The brand recently opened pre-orders for the casual “Haro Winter Collection” featuring the iconic robot mascot.
They also recently revealed two high-end MA-1 flight jackets with ALPHA INDUSTRIES, featuring designs from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash.
Each “STRICT-G Gundam Series nishikawa Upcycled Down Jacket” is priced at 35,200 yen (approx. $230.50 USD / £182.50 GBP).
Pre-orders opened on November 27 via the Premium Bandai online store.
The pre-order window is scheduled to close on December 14, with shipping expected in December 2025.
A general release at STRICT-G physical stores in Japan will take place from Saturday, December 6.
