Pre-orders open for new figure of Char's Zaku II from Cucuruz Doan's Island

Pre-orders are set to open for a new, high-end collectible figure of a special mobile suit piloted by the legendary ace Char Aznable.

The “GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE MS-06R-1A Char’s Custom High Mobility Type Zaku II” is based on the “phantom unit” that appeared in the 2022 film, Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island.

The product is being released under the GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE, or “G.F.F.M.C.,” brand.

This premium line of figures is produced under the direct supervision of the renowned mecha designer, Hajime Katoki, and is known for its extensive use of die-cast metal parts, intricate detail, and realistic markings.

The new figure is a definitive, approximately 180-millimeter-tall recreation of the mobile suit.

Its color scheme has been carefully mixed to match the official anime design, and all the various markings, including the Principality of Zeon and Falmer Squadron emblems, are applied with high-quality tampo printing.

The figure incorporates several mechanical gimmicks.

The top armor of the head can be opened, and a mechanism allows the mono-eye sensor to be moved from side to side.

The chest armor can also be opened downwards, and a hatch on the right side lifts to reveal a detailed cockpit.

An extensive arsenal of weapons is included with the figure.

These include a Zaku Machine Gun, an ASR-78 Anti-Ship Rifle, two different Heat Hawks (one long, one short), and an MS Bazooka, all of which can be mounted on the figure’s body.

The figure is a Premium Bandai exclusive, priced at 29,700 yen (approx. $201 USD/£149 GBP) and is scheduled to be shipped to customers in January 2026.
