Pre-Orders Open for Enchanting New Hatsune Miku Statue
Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for a stunning new scale figure of Hatsune Miku, presenting the virtual singer in a traditional Chinese aesthetic.
The “Hatsune Miku Han Gong Qiu Yue Ver.” translates the “Character Vocal Series 01” icon into a 1/7 scale sculpture based on an illustration by the renowned artist Rella.
Hatsune Miku is a singing voice synthesizer software developed by Crypton Future Media, which has evolved into a globally recognised cyber celebrity with a vast repertoire of user-created songs.
For this release, the design is inspired by the famous traditional Chinese melody “Han Gong Qiu Yue” (Autumn Moon over the Han Palace), a piece known for its sorrowful and elegant tone often played on the Erhu.
Reflecting this theme, Miku is depicted holding an Erhu, a two-stringed bowed musical instrument, while dressed in an exquisite outfit that blends fantasy with historical Chinese fashion.
The figure captures a serene and slightly melancholic atmosphere, faithful to Rella’s original artwork.
Great attention has been paid to the flow of her hair and the intricate sculpting of her costume, which appears to flutter in a gentle breeze.
The paintwork is designed to evoke the feeling of being illuminated by soft moonlight, enhancing the ethereal quality of the piece.
A unique feature of this release is the lantern on the base, which can be illuminated using a commercially available light unit (sold separately) to create a warm, atmospheric display.
Standing at approximately 29.5cm in height, this pre-painted figure is constructed from plastic and comes with a dedicated base.
Orders placed specifically through the Good Smile Company Official Shop will include an A6-size Acrylic Art Board (148mm x 100mm) featuring the original illustration as a purchase bonus.
Pre-orders officially began on Monday, February 16, 2026, and the figure is priced at 28,200 yen (approx. $188 USD / £149 GBP).
It will be available to order at the Good Smile Company Online Store and partner retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan, until Tuesday, April 1, 2026, with shipping scheduled to begin in January 2027.
