Pre-Orders Open as Video Game Legend Hideo Kojima Gets His Own Nendoroid Figure

Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for a brand-new Nendoroid celebrating legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima, transforming one of the industry’s most influential developers into an officially licensed collectible figure.
Best known as the creative mind behind the Metal Gear series and the DEATH STRANDING franchise, Kojima has become one of gaming’s most recognizable creators thanks to his cinematic storytelling, memorable characters and innovative approach to game design.

The new Nendoroid faithfully recreates Kojima’s signature appearance in the line’s instantly recognizable chibi style while retaining many of the features fans will immediately associate with the acclaimed developer.

Collectors will receive three interchangeable face plates, including a serious expression, a smiling face and a thoughtful expression that captures Kojima during moments of creative inspiration.

The figure also comes with a variety of accessories that reflect his familiar public image and playful personality.
Included optional parts consist of his trademark glasses, a pair of sunglasses and Ludens Duck, a quirky companion inspired by Kojima Productions’ mascot that adds an extra touch of charm to the display.

The interchangeable parts allow fans to recreate a variety of poses, whether displaying Kojima deep in thought, greeting fans with a smile or sporting his iconic sunglasses.

The figure continues Good Smile Company’s tradition of celebrating influential real world personalities alongside popular anime and gaming characters, offering fans a collectible tribute to one of the people who has helped shape modern video games.

The Hideo Kojima Nendoroid is priced at ¥6,500 (approx. $44 USD / £33 GBP), with pre-orders via the Good Smile Company online store and reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan remaining open until August 19, 2026, ahead of its planned December 2026 release.
