Japanese food company Sanyo Foods has launched a new, limited-edition flavor for its popular “Sapporo Ichiban Pokémon Noodle” line of instant noodles.

The new flavor, “Vertical Pokémon Noodle Seafood Champon,” was released as part of a broader “Pokémon Noodle Summer Campaign.”

Champon is a regional style of Japanese noodle soup, originating from Nagasaki, known for its rich broth made with a mix of pork, chicken, and seafood.

The Champon flavor’s packaging is themed around Water-type Pokémon, featuring the characters Slowpoke and Psyduck, with three different collectible lid designs available.

The noodle is a thick style with a chewy texture, and the champon-style soup base combines a pork and chicken broth with the flavors of squid, scallop, and oyster.

The included toppings are cabbage, corn, fish cake, and imitation crab.

This new flavor joins the existing Soy Sauce and Seafood versions of the noodles, which have also been released in new, limited-time packaging for the summer campaign, featuring Slowpoke and the Water-type Pokémon Piplup.

These products are all part of a prize lottery campaign.

By purchasing the noodles, customers can enter a draw to win one of two exclusive prizes.

The “A Course,” which requires proof of purchase of two products, offers a chance to win a special insulated bag.
