Pokémon Center's Adorable New Pokémon Sleep Plush Collection Features Four Fan Favorites

Pokémon Sleep is getting a new collection of plushes that recreates four Pokémon exactly as they appear while sleeping in the game, giving fans a new group of bedtime companions to add to their collection.

First released in 2023, Pokémon Sleep turns sleep tracking into part of its progression system, with the length and quality of each night’s rest affecting which Pokémon and sleep styles can be discovered the following morning.

The new collection focuses on Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle alongside Mythical Pokémon Mew, combining the three original Kanto starter Pokémon with one of the most recognizable rare Pokémon from the first generation.

All four have been recreated with a soft, squishy texture designed to make them particularly suited to cuddling, while their poses closely follow the sleeping appearances featured inside Pokémon Sleep.

The “Pokémon Sleep Goodnight Bulbasaur” plush recreates the Grass-type starter curled up with its head resting low as it sleeps.

Bulbasaur was one of the three original starter choices introduced in Pokémon Red and Green, later becoming one of the earliest Pokémon players can encounter and raise across the wider franchise.

The “Pokémon Sleep Goodnight Charmander” plush gives the Fire-type starter its own sleeping pose while retaining the character’s instantly recognizable tail and rounded proportions.

As the Fire-type option from the original Kanto starter trio that eventually evolves into Charizard, Charmander has one of the most familiar evolutionary lines from Pokémon’s earliest games.

The “Pokémon Sleep Goodnight Squirtle” plush brings the Water-type member of the trio into the collection with its shell incorporated naturally into the sleeping pose.

Squirtle was the third original starter available to players in Kanto and later became particularly popular through both the games and the Pokémon anime, where Ash’s Squirtle became one of his best-known early partners.

The “Pokémon Sleep Goodnight Mew” plush completes the lineup with a sleeping version of the elusive Mythical Pokémon.

Mew has held a special place in Pokémon since the first generation, originally appearing as an exceptionally rare secret Pokémon whose existence became one of the franchise’s earliest major mysteries.

The new plush collection follows another Pokémon Sleep release revealed this week, with Google preparing a limited-edition Fitbit Air featuring a Sleepy Blue band and a sleeping Pikachu design that can sync recorded sleep data directly with the game.

The Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Mew “Pokémon Sleep Goodnight” plushes are each priced at ¥3,740 (approx. $23 USD / £17 GBP) and are set to be available through Pokémon Center Online from September 3 at 10:00 AM JST before reaching Pokémon Center and Pokémon Store locations across Japan from September 5.
