Pokémon Black and White’s Hilbert and Victini Join Kotobukiya’s ARTFX J Figure Line
Kotobukiya has officially opened pre-orders for a new Pokémon ARTFX J figure that sees Pokémon Black and White protagonist Hilbert join forces with the Mythical Pokémon Victini.
Hilbert serves as the male player character in Pokémon Black and White, the 2010 games that introduced the Unova region alongside a completely new generation of Pokémon and a story centered around Team Plasma, N and the legendary Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom.
Victini was also introduced during the fifth generation as the Victory Pokémon, with the Psychic and Fire-type Mythical Pokémon becoming closely associated with its signature V-shaped ears and ability to bring victory to Trainers.
Kotobukiyas new ARTFX J Hilbert with Victini 1/8 scale figure is based on a newly commissioned illustration by Pokémon artist Hitoshi Ariga, continuing the approach used throughout Kotobukiya’s long-running range of Trainer and Pokémon pairings.
Hilbert stands approximately 20cm tall including the base, with sculptor Tatsuya Hattori recreating details ranging from his sharp expression and layered clothing to the texture of his shoes and the Xtransceiver attached to his arm.
The pose captures Hilbert with one hand raised beside his cap as Victini sits at his feet, closely translating Ariga’s original illustration into the finished sculpt.
Victini measures approximately 7cm tall and brings considerably more movement to the base, with flames sweeping around the Pokémon in the shape of a “V” to reference its connection with victory.
Its energetic expression and bright orange coloring also provide a strong contrast with Hilbert’s more restrained pose, helping the two characters feel like a single scene rather than separate figures placed on the same base.
The release has been designed to sit alongside Kotobukiya’s ARTFX J Hilda with Tepig, which originally launched in 2018 and is also receiving a new production run, finally allowing collectors to pair both protagonists from Pokémon Black and White within the same ARTFX J collection.
Kotobukiya first announced Hilbert with Victini in September 2025, but at the time only the new Hitoshi Ariga artwork had been shown and neither pricing nor a release schedule had been confirmed.
The “ARTFX J Hilbert with Victini” is now confirmed as being priced at ¥15,400 (approx. $97 USD / £71 GBP), with pre-orders now available through the Kotobukiya Online Shop and reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
Fans ordering directly from the Japanese Kotobukiya Shop will also receive an exclusive Hitoshi Ariga illustration card featuring the artwork created for the figure, with the bonus included while supplies last.
“ARTFX J Hilbert with Victini” is scheduled for release in Japan in March 2027, with overseas release timing dependent on individual retailers.
