Atlus has revealed Persona 4 Revival, a full remake of the acclaimed RPG Persona 4 Golden.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store).

While a specific release date was not provided, Atlus confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting day one.

Persona 4 Golden originally released in 2012 as an expanded version of the 2008 PlayStation 2 title, Persona 4.

It gained widespread recognition for its unique blend of high school social simulation and dungeon-crawling RPG mechanics, set against a backdrop of mystery and supernatural elements.

The game’s narrative depth, memorable characters, and distinct art style have cemented its place as a standout entry in the Persona series, a spin-off of Atlus’s larger Shin Megami Tensei franchise.

Players will once again step into the role of a transfer student experiencing an unforgettable year, forging new friendships.

However, this peaceful life is quickly disrupted by a series of bizarre murders and the emergence of a mysterious TV channel.

As a door to another world opens, players will awaken their Persona abilities, joining allies to uncover the truth behind these events.

Kazuhisa Wada, Director at Atlus’s P-Studio, shared a message expressing the team’s dedication to the project. 

“We are currently working on this project with all our passion and love,” Wada stated, noting that Persona 4 holds a special place in his heart due to its numerous spin-off works, including fighting games like Persona 4 Arena and rhythm games like Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Wada expressed confidence that Persona 4 Revival will offer a “fresh and surprising” experience for both newcomers and long-time fans.

He also hinted at the studio’s future plans, stating, “We are actively preparing for the future development of the Persona series as a studio. We are working hard to meet the expectations of fans around the world and our work is progressing well.”
