Orders Open as Junji Ito’s Tomie Joins the Nendoroid Series

Good Smile Company has opened pre-orders for a new addition to their Nendoroid series, featuring one of the most recognizable characters in horror manga history.
“Nendoroid Tomie” adapts the titular antagonist from the anime series Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre into the company’s signature chibi-style format.

The Nendoroid line is a popular series of palm-sized figures known for their deformed, “super deformed” aesthetic, which reduces characters to a cute, large-headed proportion while retaining their key visual traits.

Originally created by Junji Ito in 1987, Tomie Kawakami is a mysterious and beautiful entity who possesses the terrifying power to make any man fall intensely in love with her.
This infatuation inevitably turns into a murderous rage, leading her admirers to kill and dismember her.

However, Tomie always returns, regenerating from even the smallest piece of her body to continue her cycle of torment.
The character has become a cult icon, representing the inescapable nature of obsession and vanity.

This new figure captures both the allure and the grotesque nature of the character within the Nendoroid standard.
Standing at approximately 10cm in height, the figure is made from plastic and comes with a dedicated stand to support various poses.

It features three interchangeable face plates that include a standard smile, a condescending laughing expression, and a disgusted look.

To reflect her horrifying regenerative abilities, the set includes a “multiplying face” part, along with a plastic bag and a garbage can, referencing the gruesome aftermath often associated with her stories.

Pre-orders officially began on Friday, February 13, 2026 and the figure is priced at 6,800 yen (approx. $45 USD / £35 GBP).
It will be available to order at the Good Smile Company Online Store and partner retailers, such as HobbyLink Japan, until Wednesday, March 25, 2026, with shipping scheduled to begin in July 2026.
