Orders Open as Hatsune Miku’s Magical Mirai 2025 Design Becomes Good Smile’s Latest Nendoroid
Image by Charlotte DavisHatsune Miku’s colorful Magical Mirai 2025 appearance is being turned into a new Nendoroid, with pre-orders now open for the figure as part of her 19th anniversary celebrations.
The “Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2025 Ver. Nendoroid” recreates the main visual illustrated by Tiv for last year’s event, adapting its star-filled costume and accessories into Good Smile Company’s compact figure line.
Hatsune Miku “Magical Mirai” has been held annually since 2013, combining 3DCG live performances featuring Miku and the other Piapro Characters with exhibitions centered on music, artwork, merchandise, and the wider creative community surrounding them.
The 2025 event expanded to Sendai for the first time alongside its established Osaka and Tokyo dates, making it the first Magical Mirai to take place across three cities.
Magical Mirai 2025 used the theme “A Day in the Stars,” with its visual direction centered on a star-filled sky and the idea of individual creations and fan support providing light for the future.
That idea shaped Tiv’s main visual, which depicts Miku singing beneath a star-filled night sky in a blue costume that mixes Japanese and rock-inspired elements.
The “Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2025 Ver. Nendoroid,” priced at ¥8,000 (approx. $50 USD / £37 GBP), recreates the same appearance in a figure standing around 10 cm tall.
Three interchangeable expressions are included, giving Miku a standard smile, a wink and a pleading face for noticeably different display options.
Her performance accessories include a microphone and microphone stand, while a separate star part ties directly into the celestial theme behind the 2025 event.
Good Smile has also included a piece of zunda dango, providing a more playful reference to Sendai and Magical Mirai making its first appearance in the city during 2025.
The new figure is one of three Hatsune Miku Nendoroids opening for pre-orders at the same time, with Good Smile Company also revisiting one of Magical Mirai’s earlier designs and Miku’s latest singing software appearance.
The “Hatsune Miku V6 Nendoroid,” priced at ¥7,800 (approx. $49 USD / £36 GBP), recreates the updated Miku design created by illustrator LAM for Hatsune Miku V6.
The figure comes with three expressions consisting of a gentle smile, puzzled face and larger smiling expression, alongside a stand microphone and heart effect for additional poses.
Fans ordering the V6 version directly through Good Smile Company will also receive a mini acrylic art board featuring newly drawn Hatsune Miku artwork by LAM.
The third release is the “Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 Ver.,” priced at ¥6,900 (approx. $43 USD / £32 GBP), based on the futuristic costume created by illustrator LENA[A-7] for the 2016 event.
Its accessories include a stand microphone and the cube motif associated with Magical Mirai 2016, while interchangeable smiling and winking expressions provide its main alternate display options.
Pre-orders for all three Hatsune Miku Nendoroids opened on August 31 and are scheduled to remain available until October 14, with shipping currently planned for March 2027.
The “Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2025 Ver.” and “Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2016 Ver.” are exclusive to the Good Smile Company store, while the “Nendoroid Hatsune Miku V6” is also available through retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
