Orders Open as Char Aznable’s Nightingale Joins Bandai’s Premium ROBOT Spirits Figure Line
Bandai is set to open pre-orders for a massive new action figure based on the Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children novel.
The imposing “ROBOT Spirits Nightingale ~Exclusive Edition~” brings Char Aznable’s custom mobile suit to life with an incredible sense of scale and detail.
The Beltorchika’s Children novel offers fans an alternative telling of the climactic final battle between legendary rivals Amuro Ray and the leader of Neo Zeon.
In this unique storyline, the charismatic antagonist pilots the terrifying Nightingale into combat against the Earth Federation forces.
This intimidating machine serves as a heavily upgraded evolution of the standard Sazabi, boasting significantly increased firepower and maneuverability on the battlefield.
This premium release captures the imposing design of the mobile suit, reaching an overall height of approximately 16.5cm.
The sheer volume of the figure is emphasized by its massive footprint, measuring a staggering 40cm across and 31cm from front to back.
To recreate the heavy mechanical feel of the mobile suit, Bandai utilized two distinct shades of matte red paint across the exterior armor.
This subdued finish provides a striking contrast against the glossy metallic paint applied to the thruster nozzles and internal cylinder components.
Over eighty individually printed white line markings are carefully applied across the body to enhance the realism of the weaponized suit.
Collectors can enjoy a wide array of interactive gimmicks, including fully deployable hidden arms stored underneath the front skirt armor.
The massive back binders feature detachable funnel weapons and can be folded down to recreate a completely original high-speed movement mode designed exclusively for this figure line.
The complete package includes an impressive arsenal of weaponry, allowing fans to equip the machine with its large mega beam rifle and a standard shield.
Close-combat options include four beam saber effect parts, a deployed beam tomahawk with multiple effect variations, and a stowed version of the tomahawk.
A dedicated display base is also provided to safely support the sheer weight and size of the completed figure in a variety of aerial poses.
The “ROBOT Spirits Nightingale ~Exclusive Edition~” is priced at 35,200 yen (approx. $225 USD / £178 GBP).
Pre-orders for this incredible new figure will officially open on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM (JST) exclusively through the Premium Bandai online store.
Shipments for this release are currently scheduled to begin rolling out to buyers in October 2026.
