Orders Open as Blaster, Steeljaw, Eject and Ramhorn Join Transformers MPG

Takara Tomy has opened pre-orders for two new additions to its premium Transformers MPG lineup, bringing Blaster and his cassette companions to collectors in highly detailed Masterpiece-style form.
The Transformers franchise debuted in 1984 and has remained one of the world’s most recognizable toy and entertainment brands, combining transforming robots, animated series, comics and blockbuster movies that continue to introduce new generations to the Autobots and Decepticons.

Inspired by the Japan release of the first three seasons of the original Transformers animated series, the latest MPG releases faithfully recreate Blaster, Steeljaw, Eject and Ramhorn with updated engineering, animation-accurate designs and multiple transformation modes.

Leading the new lineup is MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw, featuring the Autobot communications officer Blaster (Broadcast in the Japanese version) alongside his loyal cassette companion Steeljaw.

Blaster transforms between robot and radio cassette recorder modes, while Steeljaw converts from a cassette tape into a robotic lion.

The set also recreates Blaster’s memorable intermediate transformation from “Quest for Survival” as a dedicated Alternate Transformation Mode, complete with movable legs that allow collectors to recreate its walking sequence from the anime.

Pressing the switch on Blaster’s abdomen opens the chest compartment, allowing Steeljaw to be stored inside in cassette mode just like the animated series.

The chest can also store the separately sold MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn set, allowing Blaster to carry up to two cassette companions simultaneously.

Included accessories consist of Blaster’s Electro Scrambler Gun, Steeljaw’s Solar Power Pellet Guns, a removable monitor panel, two megaphones inspired by Episode 51 “Auto-Bop”, two soundwave effect parts, an alternate smiling head based on his appearance in Transformers: The Movie, a barrier case, adapter, character card, and instruction manual.

Alongside Blaster comes MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn, adding two more members of Blaster’s cassette team to the expanding MPG collection.

Eject transforms from a cassette tape into a humanoid robot, while Ramhorn changes from cassette mode into a robotic rhinoceros, faithfully recreating their appearances from The Transformers: 2010.

The set includes Eject’s Electrical Overload Gun together with Ramhorn’s left and right laser-guided missiles, all of which can be attached in both robot and cassette modes for display flexibility.

Both cassette figures can be stored inside the chest compartment of the separately sold MPG-19 Soundwave as well as the new MPG-25 Blaster, while their cassette forms can also be displayed inside the included cassette cases.

The Eject & Ramhorn set also includes two cassette cases, a character card, and an instruction manual.

MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn is priced at ¥9,350 (approx. $65 USD / £47 GBP), while MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw is priced at ¥27,500 (approx. $191 USD / £139 GBP).
Both sets are now available to pre-order from reputable hobby goods retailers such as HobbyLink Japan, with MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn scheduled for release in late February 2027 and MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw following in late March 2027.
