Okami’s Celestial Wolves Make a Triumphant Return to the Nendoroid Lineup

Good Smile Company has announced that several sought after figures based on the hit video game Okami are officially returning for a re-release.
The spectacular “Nendoroid Amaterasu” and “Nendoroid Shiranui” are being reissued alongside their accessory-packed deluxe counterparts.

The widely popular Nendoroid series by Good Smile Company specializes in shrinking down iconic pop culture characters into charming palm-sized figures.

Nendoroids are known for their extensive articulation and variety of interchangeable parts, which allow for endless customizable display options.

Okami is a critically acclaimed nature adventure game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom.

The game features a breathtaking sumi-e ink art style and a rich story deeply rooted in Japanese mythology.

The story follows Amaterasu, the glorious Sun Goddess who takes the physical form of a legendary white wolf, as she awakens to restore life and vibrant color to a cursed, darkened world.

The lineup also features Shiranui, the revered past incarnation of Amaterasu from a century prior, who is renowned in the lore for a flowing mane of celestial magic and immense divine power.

All four figures were created under the direct supervision of original Okami character designer Kenichiro Yoshimura, ensuring their pocket-sized 10cm frames perfectly capture the game’s unique artistic aesthetic.

“Nendoroid Amaterasu” comes equipped with a dignified standard expression and a charming open-mouthed face.

She includes her tiny, chatty traveling companion Issun and the Reflector Divine Instrument known as Divine Retribution.

“Nendoroid Shiranui” also includes a standard expression and an open-mouthed face.

This figure is accompanied by the previous celestial envoy Ishaku and the powerful Reflector Yata no Kagami.

For fans looking for even more display options to recreate dynamic combat scenes, Good Smile Company is offering deluxe versions of both celestial wolves.

“Nendoroid Amaterasu DX Ver.” includes everything from the standard release, plus the Glaive Tsumugari, the Devout Beads Rosary, and a quirky, oddly shaped turnip.

“Nendoroid Shiranui DX Ver.” builds upon its standard release by adding a striking howling face plate, the Glaive Ame no Murakumo, and the Yasakani no Magatama Rosary.

Fans who pre-order through the Good Smile Company official shop will receive exclusive bonus items, including a Praise Orb for the Amaterasu figures and a miniature sparrow with a feed bowl for the Shiranui figures.

“Nendoroid Amaterasu” is priced at 5,500 yen (approximately $35 USD / £28 GBP), while “Nendoroid Amaterasu DX Ver.” is available for 7,700 yen (approximately $49 USD / £39 GBP).

“Nendoroid Shiranui” is priced at 7,000 yen (approximately $45 USD / £36 GBP), and “Nendoroid Shiranui DX Ver.” can be purchased for 8,800 yen (approximately $56 USD / £45 GBP).

All four of these beautiful Okami figures are scheduled to ship in October 2026.
