Official Palworld Card Game Announced by Bushiroad

Bushiroad has officially announced the release of a new trading card game adaptation of Pocketpair’s hit title, Palworld.
The “PALWORLD OFFICIAL CARD GAME” was unveiled during the “Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation” held on January 12.

This announcement follows the global success of the open-world survival craft game, bringing its mechanics to the tabletop format.
During the presentation, the company revealed the five specific card types that will make up the game’s core mechanics.

While detailed rules will be published at a later date, the confirmed card categories are as follows:
- Pal Card:
- These cards represent the creatures that players capture and command in the game.
- Building Card:
- These cards correspond to the base-building and construction mechanics found in the video game.
- Gear Card:
- These items represent the various tools and weapons equipable by the player or their Pals.
- Event Card:
- These cards will likely act as effect or spell cards that influence the flow of the match.
- Soul Card:
- A distinct card type is listed in the reveal, though its specific function remains under wraps.
Bushiroad President Takaaki Kidani also took to the stage to outline ambitious plans for the competitive scene.

He revealed that the company is actively planning to host a World Tournament for the game as early as Autumn 2026.
To prepare players for this competitive landscape, nationwide workshops and tutorial sessions are scheduled to begin in Spring 2026.

Special pre-release events featuring advance sales and tutorials will take place in Tokyo on June 27 and in Osaka on June 28.
The “PALWORLD OFFICIAL CARD GAME” is scheduled for a general release on July 30, 2026.
