Nintendo Switch game inspires new Hatsune Miku action figure
Action figure manufacturer Kaiyodo have announced that Hatsune Miku is set to join their “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi” series.
The announcement follows the recent reveal of two new Ninja Gaiden figures that are also set to join the “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi” line up.
The new Hatsune Miku Fit Boxing Ver. figure is based on the popular virtual singer’s appearance in the Nintendo Switch fitness game “Fit Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku -Issho ni Exercise-” which is known as “Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku” outside of Japan.
In the game, she serves as a virtual boxing instructor to encourage and guide players through workout routines.
Hatsune Miku, the world-famous virtual pop star, is a vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media.
Since her debut in 2007, she has evolved into a global cultural phenomenon, captivating audiences with her unique voice, immediately recognisable teal twin-tails, and engaging performances through concerts, music videos, and collaborations across various media.
Her versatility has led to numerous appearances in video games, including the “Fit Boxing” series, which combines rhythm-based gameplay with fitness exercises.
“Fit Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku -Issho ni Exercise-” was released on the Nintendo Switch in 2024 and leverages Miku’s popularity to make exercise more engaging and enjoyable.
The game features Miku and other virtual characters providing voice guidance and encouragement as players perform boxing-based workouts in time with music.
Miku’s sporty attire in the game, designed for energetic movement, forms the basis of this upcoming action figure.
Kaiyodo is known for its innovative “Revoltech” joint system that allows for a wide range of dynamic poses and have brought their expertise to this figure of Hatsune Miku in her fitness-inspired outfit.
The company recently announced the impending pre-orders on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, providing fans with an initial glimpse of the figure.
The teaser image reveals Hatsune Miku sporting a bright yellow jacket layered over a white undergarment, that same sporty and energetic look that has in the “Fit Boxing” game.
While the announcement has generated considerable excitement among fans of Hatsune Miku and collectors of the “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi” line, specific details regarding the figure’s release date and price are yet to be disclosed by Kaiyodo.
The “Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi” series is celebrated for its detailed sculpting, vibrant paintwork, and exceptional articulation, allowing collectors to recreate a multitude of poses inspired by the character’s appearances and movements.
