Nintendo and Speedo unveil the first ever Kirby swimwear collection
Leading swimwear brand Speedo has officially announced a collaboration with Nintendo’s popular Kirby franchise.
This special collection is designed to support swimmers who strive to be the “brightest star” in the pool, drawing inspiration from the pink hero’s adventures.
The collaboration features a variety of items developed in conjunction with HAL Laboratory and Nintendo, blending functional swim technology with the cute aesthetic of the Kirby series.
The lineup is primarily centered around the “TurnS” series of practice swimwear designed to support students and active swimmers during daily training sessions.
These suits are constructed using “ENDURANCE ECO,” an environmentally friendly material that utilizes recycled resources while maintaining high performance.
The fabric is noted for its high resistance to chlorine and a 4-way stretch capability that allows for unrestricted movement in the water.
Designers have also ensured the material has a substantial thickness to prevent transparency, providing peace of mind for swimmers of all ages.
Visually, the collection is divided into two distinct graphic themes that celebrate the game’s history.
The “1UP Classic” design features retro-style dot illustrations, incorporating pixelated versions of the Speedo logo and the “Boom Mark” alongside messages of support for athletes aiming for the next level.
The “Super Star” design offers a more vibrant approach, scattering Kirby, stars, and the Speedo brand mark across the fabric for a colorful look that stands out underwater.
The full lineup includes suits for men, women, and juniors, as well as essential accessories like mesh caps and waterproof pouches.
