New premium DEATH NOTE flight jackets feature Misa and Ryuk
Pre-orders have officially opened for a pair of premium jackets based on the world of the globally popular and influential manga series, Death Note.
Death Note, created by the writer Tsugumi Ohba and the artist Takeshi Obata, is a legendary psychological thriller that has been a fan favorite for decades.
This new collection of apparel fuses two of the series’ most iconic characters with a classic MA-1 military-style flight jacket, each featuring a large and intricately embroidered design on the back.
The first is the “Ryuk Ver.,” a jacket with the theme “Carry the Shinigami on Your Back.”
This jacket features a massive, detailed embroidery of the Shinigami, Ryuk, the bored death god who drops his notebook into the human world for his own amusement.
The design is intended to make the wearer feel like the protagonist, Light Yagami, who is constantly followed by the apple-loving creature.
The second is the “Misa Ver.,” which features a large embroidered design of the character Misa Amane, also known as Misa Misa.
Misa is the “Second Kira,” a popular model who is a devoted and often dangerously obsessive follower of the original Kira, Light Yagami.
The artwork on this jacket depicts her handing over her Death Note to Light.
Both jackets are authentic, military-style MA-1s made from nylon with a polyester lining and insulation, and are available in a unisex range of M, L, and XL sizes.
The jackets are designed to be both functional and fashionable, with the detailed embroidery creating an elegant and high-end look.
Each of the two new MA-1 jackets is priced at ¥29,700 (approx. $201 USD/£149 GBP).
Pre-orders for the jackets are currently being accepted on the DMM online store, with the reservation period scheduled to run until the 29th of September, 2025.
Reservations may be open at other hobby goods retailers, though availability and pricing may differ.
For those purchasing from the official DMM store, the jackets are scheduled to be shipped in early January of 2026.
