New Pokémon bath bombs are based on some of the series most iconic moves

Bandai has announced a new series of its popular “Bikkura Tamago” bath bombs, this time themed around the attacks used by Pokémon.
The new product line, called “Bikkura Tamago Bath Popping Pokémon,” is designed to recreate the visual effects of various Pokémon “moves” or attacks within the bathtub.

“Bikkura Tamago” is a long-running brand of bath bombs that each contain a small, collectible surprise toy that is revealed when the bath bomb dissolves.
They regularly release new types of bath bombs inspired by different brands. One of their newest releases is Hello Kitty bath bombs shaped like popsicles.

The first release in this new “Bath Popping” series is titled “~Starry Night~,” and it is themed around the Pokémon move “Swift,” known as Speed Star in Japanese.
In the games, Swift is an attack that manifests as a shower of stars that never miss their target.

The bath bomb itself is shaped like a Poké Ball and has a lavender scent.
When placed in hot water, it dissolves and turns the water purple, while also releasing star-shaped bath petals that scatter across the surface of the water, mimicking the star-like effect of the Swift attack.

Once the bath bomb has fully dissolved, one of five possible Pokémon mascots will be revealed.

Each small figure comes with its own clear display base that has a special pearl finish, allowing the mascot to be displayed as if it is performing the move.

The lineup of collectible mascots for this “Starry Night” release includes Pikachu, Clefairy, Umbreon, Marill, and Mew, with the specific mascot included in each bath bomb being random.

They are priced at 715 yen and will be available for purchase at a wide range of retailers, including supermarkets, drugstores, toy stores, and electronics stores across Japan.

The “Bikkura Tamago Bath Popping Pokémon ~Starry Night~” is scheduled to begin its rollout at stores on Monday, the 25th of August, 2025.
In advance of the release of these new bath bombs, Pokémon Center stores are currently selling water-type Pokémon-shaped “Bath Buddy” sponges.
