New model kit of Gundam Wing G-Unit’s Gundam Griepe can transform into three different modes

A new, exclusive Gunpla model kit has been announced for the “High Grade” (HG) line, featuring the Gundam Griepe from the classic manga series, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit.
This new 1/144 scale model is a completely new sculpt of the fan-favorite mobile suit.

The kit is based on a brand-new, refined design of the Gundam Griepe, which was newly drawn for this release by the original mecha designer, Junichi Akutsu.

The Gundam Griepe is a unique and powerful mobile suit known for its ability to transform into three different modes.

This key feature has been faithfully recreated in the model kit, which uses a new transformation method to switch between its standard “Mobile Suit Mode,” its high-mobility “Assault Mode,” and its jet-like “Mobile Armor Mode.”

The kit comes with a variety of newly designed armaments and accessories.

These include a beam lancer with clear yellow effect parts, which can be disassembled and stored in the reflect shield, and a hyper mega particle launcher with a movable antenna and grip.

The model can also be combined with the separately sold “HG 1/144 Gundam Geminass” and its expansion parts to recreate the “Combined G-UNIT” from the manga.

This new release comes in a special, full-color package that features the new artwork.

The “HG 1/144 Gundam Griepe” is a Premium Bandai exclusive item, priced at ¥4,510 (approx. $31 USD/£23 GBP).

Pre-orders for the new kit opened on the Premium Bandai website on Friday, the 26th of September, 2025.

The figure is scheduled to be shipped to customers in December of this year.
