New model kit of Evangelion's Rei Ayanami comes with Gendo's glasses and the Spear of Longinus

The BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has revealed new, detailed product images for its upcoming plastic model kit of Evangelion’s Rei Ayanami.

The new “30MP Rei Ayanami (Plugsuit Ver.)” kit marks the first entry from the globally popular Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition franchise to join the “30 MINUTES PREFERENCE” (30MP) beautiful girl model kit series.

The model kit is a recreation of the character Rei Ayanami in her iconic white plugsuit, which is rendered with a glossy texture.

A key feature of the kit is the inclusion of interchangeable parts that allow the figure to be displayed in her famous “taiiku-zuwari” (sitting with knees up) pose.

A variety of accessories and customizable parts are also included.

The kit comes with two different, pre-painted (tampo-printed) face parts, one of which is her gentle, smiling expression from the memorable “You can just smile” scene.

For builders who want to customize, unpainted face parts and a sheet of water-slide decals are also provided.

Other optional parts include some of the most symbolic items from the Evangelion series: the Spear of Longinus, Shinji’s S-DAT player, and Gendo’s glasses, as well as a wide range of interchangeable hand parts for various poses.
