The popular mascara brand “Lash Guardian” has announced its annual collaboration with the beloved Sanrio character Kuromi.

This year’s partnership features the “Lash Guardian Angravity Mascara” in a limited-edition Kuromi design and introduces a new, collaboration-exclusive “Mellow Black” color.

This new release is also part of the ongoing celebration of Kuromi’s 20th anniversary.

The Lash Guardian Angravity Mascara is a popular product in Japan, known for its ability to easily create a “taba-kan,” or “bundled,” lash look, which is a major trend in Japanese makeup.

The mascara features a unique, dual-sided “W Comb,” which has a long comb on one side for separating and lengthening, and a spiral “bundle coil” on the other for creating the signature, clustered lash look.

The formula contains a volume wax and 3mm fibers to create a “false eyelash-level” effect, and it uses a shape-holding polymer to prevent curls from dropping.

While the product is waterproof, it can be easily removed with warm water and a standard facial cleanser.

The new, limited-edition version comes in a special package featuring an astronaut design of Kuromi.

The new “Mellow Black” is described as having a slight purple tint, fitting Kuromi’s signature color scheme.

The “Lash Guardian Angravity Mascara” with the limited-edition Kuromi design is priced at ¥1,540.

It is scheduled to be released at variety shops, drugstores, and other mass retailers across Japan on Wednesday, the 10th of September, 2025.
