New Initial D watch collection includes AE86, RX-7, and Sileighty inspired timepieces

A new collection of solar-powered chronograph watches has been announced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary street racing series, Initial D.
Initial D is the classic manga by Shuichi Shigeno, which was first serialized in 1995 and has sold over 56 million copies.

It tells the story of protagonist Takumi Fujiwara’s rise to fame, battling rivals on mountain passes in his father’s Toyota AE86.

The series is credited with sparking a global interest in Japanese car culture and drifting.

This new collection, created by Ueni Trading under their Angel Clover brand, captures the essence of four of the series’ most iconic cars in detail-rich timepieces.

Each watch is powered by a Japanese solar-quartz movement, which charges through the sub-dials.

The collaboration features four different models:
- Takumi Fujiwara TOYOTA AE86 Model
- Price: 36,300 yen (approx. $235.80 USD / £179.31 GBP)

This watch reflects the famous “panda” black-and-white color scheme of Takumi’s AE86.

The number “86” is placed at the 12 o’clock position, and the side of the case is engraved with the iconic “Fujiwara Tofu Shop” logo.

The sub-dials are designed to look like the AE86’s instrument cluster. The case back features the car’s distinctive 8-spoke wheels.

- Keisuke Takahashi MAZDA RX-7-FD3S Model
- Price: 36,300 yen (approx. $235.80 USD / £179.31 GBP)

This watch is colored in the brilliant yellow of Keisuke’s FD3S, with yellow accents on the needles and bezel.

The number “7” is at the 12 o’clock position, and the sub-dials are designed to resemble the FD3S’s tachometer, speedometer, and boost gauge.

The case back features the car’s 5-spoke wheel design.
- Ryosuke Takahashi MAZDA RX-7-FC3S Model
- Price: 36,300 yen (approx. $235.80 USD / £179.31 GBP)

This watch captures the “White Comet of Akagi” with a sharp, metallic stainless steel case and a high-contrast white dial.

The number “7” is at the 12 o’clock position, and the sub-dials are modeled after the FC3S’s tachometer, speedometer, and oil pressure gauge.

The case back features the car’s wheel design.
- Mako Sato NISSAN Sileighty Model
- Price: 36,300 yen (approx. $235.80 USD / £179.31 GBP)

This watch is finished in the “Impact Blue” color of Mako and Sayuki’s custom Sileighty.

The number “13” (from the RPS13 chassis code) is at the 12 o’clock position, and the sub-dials are modeled after the car’s BLITZ gauges.

The side of the case is engraved with the words “Toge no Kamameshi,” a reference to the pair’s memorable meeting place, the Toge no Kamameshi Parking Lot.

The case back features the car’s 6-spoke wheels.
Each watch comes with a free metal keychain as a purchase bonus.

All four models are priced at 36,300 yen (approx. $235.80 USD / £179.31 GBP) and are available for purchase now via the official Angel Clover online store and watch retailers across Japan.
