The production team for the highly anticipated second season of the anime adaptation of Yūji Kaku’s “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku” manga has released a third promotional video.

The new footage offers an intense look at the continuation of the series and formally unveils the powerful ending theme song, “PERSONAL,” performed by the acclaimed rock band Queen Bee.

The new season is scheduled to premiere on January 11 at 11:45 p.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels in Japan.

Shortly after the television broadcast, the series will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino.

For the international audience, Crunchyroll will stream the new season as it airs.

The series’ first season, which premiered in April 2023, was also widely distributed on Crunchyroll across America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, and on Netflix in Asian-Pacific regions.

The voice cast is expanding significantly with the arrival of new characters.

Ryōta Suzuki joins as Yamada Asaemon Shugen, alongside Kōji Yusa as Yamada Asaemon Jikka, Maaya Uchida as Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru, and Sayaka Ōhara as Yamada Asaemon Isuzu, all key figures in the story.

Studio MAPPA returns to animate the series, with Kaori Makita back to direct.

Twin Engine is again credited for planning.

Much of the core creative team is also returning, including Akira Kindaichi handling series scripts, Akitsugu Hisagi designing the characters, Yoshiaki Dewa composing the music, and Ayako Suenaga as the color key artist.

There are new additions to the technical staff, with Chika Toda stepping in as the new compositing director of photography and Junichi Higashi taking over as art director.

The opening theme song will be “Kasuka na Hana” (Faint Flower), performed by Tatsuya Kitani featuring BABYMETAL.

The original story follows Gabimaru, a ninja on death row who is renowned as the strongest of his kind.

Due to his exceptional physical training, he has survived every execution attempt, leading the executioner Sagiri Asaemon to issue him a mission: find the legendary elixir of immortality on a mysterious, dangerous island to earn a full pardon.

Kaku’s original manga was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app, running from January 2018 until its conclusion in January 2021.

The franchise has expanded into other media, including a second stage play adaptation which ran in Tokyo and Kyoto, and a survival role-playing mobile game titled “Hell’s Paradise: Paradise Battle” released for iOS, Android, and Windows.
