New Gundam SEED earphones feature the voices of Kira, Lacus, Athrun, and Cagalli

Japanese audio company Onkyo has announced a new collaboration featuring its “ANIMA AOW04” true wireless earphones and the hit film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM.
The new product line is a partnership between Onkyo and the earphone brand ANIMA, which frequently collaborates with anime and pop culture franchises.

The collaboration features four different models of the earphones, each themed around one of the main characters from the movie.
The lineup includes models for Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Athrun Zala, and Cagalli Yula Athha.

Each model features custom motifs and icons on the charging case and the earbuds themselves, designed to represent the specific character.

A key feature of the collaboration is the inclusion of newly recorded, original voice guidance.
Each of the four models is loaded with a unique set of system sounds, such as for powering on and off or for pairing, recorded by the character’s original voice actor.
The packaging for each model also features new, original illustrations of the characters.

The “ANIMA AOW04” earphones support Bluetooth 5.3, have an IPX4 water resistance rating, and are compatible with wireless charging.
In addition to the made-to-order earphones, a line of accessory merchandise featuring the new collaboration artwork will also be released for direct sale.
The accessory lineup includes:
- Original Illustration Acrylic Stands (4 varieties): ¥1,500 each

- Earphone Pouches (4 varieties): ¥1,500 each

- Wireless Charging Pad: ¥4,400

The collaboration earphones are priced at ¥18,000 (approx. $122 USD/£92 GBP), which includes tax and shipping.
Pre-orders for the earphones and direct sales of the accessories will begin on Friday, the 8th of August, at 3:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
The products will be available through the “ONKYO DIRECT” online store and at the “ONKYO DIRECT ANIME STORE (Oto-Ani)” in Akihabara.
A physical display of the new products will also be available for viewing at the Akihabara store starting from the same date.
