New Frieren prize figures recreate the series’ iconic “flower crown” scene

Banpresto has released a new pair of figures based on characters from the popular anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
The two new products are part of the company’s “ESPRESTO” line and feature the main characters, Frieren and Himmel.

“ESPRESTO” is a brand of high-quality prize figures that aims to capture the specific “essence” of a character, often focusing on recreating textures and capturing them in charming, expressive poses.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End tells the story of an elven mage, Frieren, as she journeys through the world reflecting on her past adventures with the now-deceased hero’s party she once belonged to.

The two figures, titled “-Flower Crown- Frieren” and “-Flower Crown- Himmel,” are sculpted to be displayed together to form a single, poignant diorama.

Each character is depicted wearing a matching flower crown, reminiscent of the emotionally significant flashback scene between Frieren and the hero, Himmel.

The Frieren figure stands at approximately 13 centimeters tall, while the Himmel figure is around 15 centimeters tall.

The reveal of these figures comes shortly after SEGA revealed a new FIGURIZMα statue of Frieren and Taito revealed their first AMP+ statue of her.

As “prize figures,” these items are primarily available to be won in crane games and other arcade machines within Japan, though they are also typically sold at second-hand goods stores where players can trade their arcade prizes for cash.

The new Frieren ESPRESTO figures were released on Thursday, the 17th of July, 2025, and are now available to win at arcades across the country.
