New “Death Stranding 2” Nendoroid of Sam Porter Bridges includes Dollman
The Japanese hobby manufacturer Good Smile Company has revealed an updated prototype of a new Nendoroid figure based on the video game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
The new figure captures the appearance of the game’s protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges, as he appears in the sequel.
Nendoroids are a popular line of collectible figures known for their chibi-style proportions and their inclusion of interchangeable parts and accessories.
This is the second Nendoroid to be created of Sam Porter Bridges, with the first having been released after the debut of the original Death Stranding game in 2019.
The original game, developed by Kojima Productions and directed by Hideo Kojima, was celebrated for its unique gameplay centered on delivering cargo across a fractured, post-apocalyptic America and reconnecting its isolated survivors.
The sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, continues Sam’s journey, expanding the story to new locations and introducing new characters and challenges.
The updated figure reflects the changes to Sam’s design in the new game.
It features a new suit, a different colored BB Pod, and a more advanced-looking package for him to carry.
The revealed prototype also shows several detailed accessories clipped to his person and the signature Odradek scanner peeking over his shoulder.
A key addition to this new version is the inclusion of a small figure of the puppet-like companion, Dollman, who accompanies Sam on his new adventure.
Good Smile Company has stated that more information regarding the figure’s final accessories, price, and pre-order dates will be coming soon.
