New Bungo Stray Dogs game delayed indefinitely one day before launch due to “serious bug”

The launch of the new Bungo Stray Dogs mobile game has been abruptly delayed just one day before its scheduled release.
Developer NextNinja announced on November 5, 2025, that ‘Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs’ would not meet its previously announced November 6 launch date.

According to the announcement, the difficult decision was made after a “serious bug” was discovered during the final verification stage of the game.

The development team stated that they will now focus on fixing the issues to ensure the game is in perfect condition before its new launch.
A new release date is currently undetermined and will be announced to the public at a later time.
The delay is a significant setback for the highly anticipated title, which is a “youth adventure game” spin-off of the main Bungo Stray Dogs series.

Bungo Stray Dogs is a popular series where characters named after famous literary authors battle using supernatural abilities.
This new game reimagines that world in a high school setting, placing the cast in a new “if” story.

The game was in the final stages of its launch campaign, which included the reveal of an opening movie animated by 10GAUGE, the same studio behind the main anime’s promotional videos:
A theme song by the rock duo GRANRODEO had also been revealed, and a daily countdown of character trailers was underway on social media.
‘Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs’ is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases and is planned for release on iOS and Android devices.
