New 5-star character Nefer appears as Genshin Impact’s Luna II update launches

HoYoverse officially released the “Luna II” version update for its open-world RPG, Genshin Impact, on Wednesday, the 22nd of October.
This new update, officially titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise – ‘An Elegy for Faded Moonlight’,” introduces the new 5-star character Nefer (Dendro), the new “Miliastra Wonderland” creator mode, and continues the main story.

New Event Banners are now live, featuring one new character and one returning character.
The first banner, “Temptation of the Crimson Sands,” features the new 5-star character:
- “Nefer (Secret Beneath the Sands)” (5-Star, Dendro, Catalyst)

The resourceful owner of the “Curatorium of Secrets.”
Nefer is a Dendro damage dealer who can inflict a new “Lunar-Bloom” reaction.

Her Elemental Skill allows her to enter a “Shadow Dance” state, consuming “Verdant Dew” to unleash special Charged Attacks.

Her passives also allow her to convert Dendro Cores into “Seeds of Deceit,” which she can absorb to increase her Elemental Mastery and special attack damage.

The second banner, “Chanson of Many Waters,” features the return of a popular character:
- “Furina (Endless Soloist)” (5-Star, Hydro, Sword)

The star of the opera, who takes the spotlight above all others.

Her Elemental Skill summons guests to either deal damage or heal, while her Elemental Burst provides team-wide buffs based on HP changes.

The 4-star characters featured on both banners are Xingqiu, Collei, and Yaoyao.
A new “Epitome Invocation” weapon banner is also live, featuring the new 5-star Catalyst, “Reliquary of Truth,” and the limited 5-star Sword, “Splendor of Tranquil Waters.”

The update also continues the main story with Archon Quest “Song of the Welkin Moon” Act III — “A Nation That Doesn’t Exist” and Act IV — “An Elegy for Faded Moonlight,” with a bonus of 560 Primogems for completion.
A brand-new permanent content mode, “Miliastra Wonderland,” has also been implemented.

This new feature allows players to use Genshin Impact resources to create and share their own original games, while also playing maps created by others.

Players can also customize a new “Manekin” avatar to use within this mode.

Finally, a new event, “Saurian Sojourn,” is scheduled to begin on Friday, the 24th of October.

This event will have players team up with a dragon companion to collect “Adventure Coins” and reach a goal, earning Primogems and other rewards.
