My Hero Academia’s villains are the stars of a new fragrance collection

Japanese character fragrance specialty brand “primaniacs” has announced the fourth wave of its popular fragrance collection based on the world of the hit anime series My Hero Academia.

Primaniacs is a brand that aims to express a character’s “presence” through fragrance, creating scents designed to evoke the feeling that the character is right there with you.

They have previously released fragrances based on other popular anime, including Fullmetal Alchemist and two Gundam series, GQuuuuuuX and Iron-Blood Orphans.

This new My Hero Academia collection focuses on three of the primary antagonists from the series, translating the personalities and beliefs of the members of the League of Villains into complex perfumes.

Each fragrance comes with a character card that explains the scent’s profile.

The lineup of three new fragrances is as follows:

  • Tomura Shigaraki

A “Dry Smoky Note” designed to represent his Decay Quirk, with a dry top note of clove leaf and vetiver, a dark and smoky middle, and a pale musk finish.

  • Dabi

A “Leather Spicy Note” that evokes the heat of his blue flames, with a sharp top note of galbanum, a burning middle of spice and leather, and a warm, comforting base of oakmoss.

  • Himiko Toga

A “Vivid Fruity Note” for the shapeshifting villain, opening with a bright and ecstatic top of cassis and raspberry, a pure floral middle of jasmine, and a clear, almost sorrowful cedarwood finish.

Each of the 30ml fragrances in the collection is priced at ¥7,920 (approx. $53 USD/£40 GBP).

They are now available for purchase at primaniacs retail stores across Japan, as well as via the official primaniacs online store.
