Monster Hunter fans to get prizes for eating curry with new CoCo Ichibanya collab

Curry House CoCo Ichibanya has announced a major collaboration with the popular video game Monster Hunter Wilds.
The new promotional event, titled the “CoCo HUNTER” campaign, presents a series of “Quests” for customers to complete to earn exclusive prizes.
Monster Hunter is a globally successful action RPG series from Capcom, and Monster Hunter Wilds is the latest major installment in the franchise.
The game regularly receives merchandise tie-ins, such as recently released Felyne-themed spice bottles.

CoCo Ichibanya is one of Japan’s largest and most popular curry restaurant chains, and it frequently partners with major entertainment properties for promotional campaigns.

This collaboration features new, original artwork, including a Felyne with a piece of well-done steak on its head, and the restaurant’s own cat mascot, Nekoichi, wielding weapons from the game.

The campaign is structured around three different “Quests.”

The first is an in-store gift promotion where customers who spend at least ¥1,000 receive a free, exclusive coaster.

To receive the gift, customers must show a specific screen from the campaign’s website when paying their bill, and one of seven possible coaster designs will be given out at random.

If you’re unable to access the website for any reason, the official information for the collab does state that you can simply request one of the Monster Hunter coasters when paying your bill, provided you’ve reached the spend amount required.
The second quest is a lottery campaign based on customer receipts.
By uploading a photo of a receipt for ¥1,000 or more to an online form, customers can enter a draw to win a variety of prizes.
The prizes include a themed cutlery set, a special curry plate, and a recreation of the in-game “Demon Powder” item, which comes with a packet of CoCo Ichibanya’s “Tobikara” hot spice.

A fourth prize option is a ¥2,000 meal voucher for the restaurant.
The third quest is a social media campaign held on the social media platform X.
If specific campaign posts reach 10,000 reposts, free digital goods like social media icons and phone wallpapers will be distributed to everyone.
Additionally, those who repost the messages will be entered into a separate lottery to win a ¥1,000 meal voucher.

The “CoCo HUNTER” campaign will be held at participating Curry House CoCo Ichibanya locations across the country.
The event is scheduled to begin on Friday, the 18th of July, and will run until the 31st of August, 2025.
