Melffy Returns as Konami Reveals 16 New Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Cards

Konami has unveiled a massive batch of new additions for the hit tabletop title, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game.
The reveals occurred during the official “Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Times” broadcast that aired on Friday, April 17, 2026.

Yu-Gi-Oh! originated from Kazuki Takahashi’s highly successful manga series, and multiple anime series and official card games have furthered its popularity over the years.

The physical trading card game challenges players to build customized decks utilizing complex strategies, powerful monsters, and clever spell and trap combinations.
This latest livestream highlighted sixteen fresh cards designed to bolster several fan-favorite deck archetypes.

The broadcast kicked off by showcasing five new monsters and spells for the “Melffy” theme, an archetype famous for its adorable, storybook-style animal artwork.
The upcoming “Melffy” lineup includes the following cards:
- Melffy Rabbys

- Excited Melffys

- Melffy God Mommy

- Melffy Played Tag

- Heart-Pounding Melffy Time

Another major archetype receiving a boost is “S-Force,” a futuristic law enforcement theme that focuses on controlling the columns on the playing field.
Five new futuristic recruits are joining the fray:
- S-Force Nightslayer

- S-Force Mystify

- S-Force Thought World

- S-Force Origin

- S-Force Cygnus

Alongside these themed cards, a brand-new generic draw spell titled “Pot of Negligence” was introduced to the iconic “Pot” series.

Fans also got their first look at “Farah, God of the Beginning,” which will be available as a stunning Prismatic Secret Rare Overframe card.


A special Token card depicting Yami Yugi alongside the “Magician of Black Chaos” will be included as a bonus in the “+1 Expansion Pack” boxes.

Finally, the broadcast highlighted three additions for the iconic “Toon” archetype, originally used by the legendary villain Maximillion Pegasus in the anime.
The whimsical new cartoonish cards are as follows:
- Dark-Eyed Illusionist No Face

- The Eye That Sees Through Minds

- Perfect World – Toon World

The “Melffy,” “S-Force,” and miscellaneous cards will be available in the “CHAOS ORIGINS” core booster pack.
This set is scheduled to launch at retail stores across Japan on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The new “Toon” support cards will be included in the “REVOLUTION BOOSTER -Toon, Witchcrafter, Unchained -” set.
This secondary booster pack is planned for release a few weeks later, arriving on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
