Madoka Magica RPG’s PC version gets a release date

The free-to-play role-playing game Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra will launch for PC via the Steam platform this week.
The game first launched on iOS and Android mobile devices on March 27th, 2025.

This new PC release will support cross-platform data linking, allowing players to share their progress between the mobile and PC versions of the game.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a franchise that began with a 2011 anime series that became famous for its deconstruction of the “magical girl” genre.
It presents a dark and often tragic narrative that explores the anguish and peril associated with the magical girl role, subverting the genre’s typically cheerful tropes.

Magia Exedra features an all-new story setting with original characters conceived by Gekidan Inu Curry (Doroinu), the artist collective responsible for the surreal and haunting “Witch Labyrinth” designs in the original anime.
The game’s premise involves a new protagonist who has lost her memory and must relive key moments from the lives of countless other magical girls to find her own identity.

Magia Exedra serves as a massive crossover title for the franchise, featuring characters and story scenarios from both the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime and the previous mobile game, Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story.
The gameplay consists of exploring 3D recreations of the iconic Witch Labyrinths.

Combat is a turn-based system where players form a team of up to five magical girls.
The battle system includes strategic elements like a “break” mechanic, where using the correct elemental attacks can wear down an enemy’s defenses and create openings for powerful attacks.

The game features a large cast of voice actors from across the franchise’s history, including Ai Nonaka, Aoi Yuki, and Chiwa Saito.
Publisher Aniplex and developers Pokelabo and f4samurai announced that the PC version will go live on Thursday, July 17th.
