Los Angeles’ New Square Enix Cafe Reveals Opening Dates and Menu

A brand new culinary destination celebrating hit video games like Final Fantasy has officially arrived in California.

The Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles is set to bring a mix of themed dining and exclusive merchandise right to the heart of Little Tokyo.

Since 2024, Square Enix has been working closely alongside Little Akihabara to establish a permanent space where passionate fans can gather.

This shared vision has finally materialized into a physical location that honors some of the most celebrated titles in modern interactive entertainment.

The themed eatery is currently hosting its soft opening period starting today, Saturday, June 13, 2026.

During this initial introductory phase, visitors will be treated to a specially curated limited menu before the massive grand opening celebration officially kicks off on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Diners can expect a massive array of creative meals, refreshing beverages, and sweet treats directly inspired by the Dragon Quest series, the Final Fantasy franchise, and NieR: Automata.

This retail section is completely open to the general public regardless of whether they choose to dine at the cafe, though entry may be restricted during peak business hours to ensure a comfortable shopping experience.

Fans looking to visit Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles can find the storefront located at 316 E 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, which is just a short walk from the Little Tokyo Metro Station.

Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles operates Monday through Sunday from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with the final entry to the cafe permitted at 7:30 PM.

Lunch and dinner services require advance reservations, which secure a 75-minute dining slot for attendees.

Lunch reservations are available from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, while dinner slots run from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Guests booking a table must order at least one beverage and one food item per person, and any no-shows or late cancellations will incur a $20 fee per person.

Walk-in guests are welcome between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on a first-come, first-served basis, though they will only have access to the dedicated drink and dessert menus during this designated window.

The “grand opening” menu for Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles is set to be revealed shortly before the store officially opens its doors on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and will likely feature many of the same dishes as the soft opening.
