Los Angeles Dodgers to hold Demon Slayer game night this August

A new collaboration has been announced between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the globally popular anime franchise, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
A special game night event will be held this August to promote the new film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1.
This type of collaboration is part of a growing trend that sees major American sports teams partnering with popular Japanese anime franchises for special event nights at their stadiums.

This isn’t Demon Slayer’s first foray into the world of baseball. A previous collaboration saw the release of a themed promotional video and merchandise as part of the MLB Tokyo Series earlier this year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers has previously held a number of successful anime themed events, including a One Piece game night.

Demon Slayer has become one of the most successful anime series in North America, with its previous film, Mugen Train, achieving widespread box office success in the region.
The new film adapts the long-awaited “Infinity Castle Arc,” which is the final, climactic storyline from the original manga.

The Demon Slayer game night will see the hit anime incorporated into the festivities during the Dodgers’ game against the San Diego Padres.
While the full details of what the collaboration will entail have not yet been released, these events typically include themed video animations on the stadium’s scoreboards and special in-game announcements.

Ticket information that has appeared on MLB.com indicates that a special hat will be given away to the first 40,000 ticketed fans, similar to the Straw Hat that was part of the recent One Piece game night.

As with the One Piece game night, the Demon Slayer event will conclude with a special drone show, which will no doubt feature some of Demon Slayer’s most popular characters.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Demon Slayer game night is scheduled to take place at Dodger Stadium on Friday, the 15th of August, 2025, with the start time corresponding to a 7:10 PM local time game start.
Tickets for the game are now on sale at MLB.com.
