Live-action Resident Evil show returns to Universal Studios Japan this Halloween

The popular, immersive horror attraction “Biohazard: Night of Heroes” is officially returning to the Universal Studios Japan theme park for the Halloween season.
“Biohazard,” known internationally as Resident Evil, is Capcom’s legendary survival horror video game series.

This attraction, which first ran in 2024, is a 360-degree live entertainment show that takes place in a large, outdoor set designed to look like a location from the games.

The story sees guests caught in the middle of a battle between the series’ heroes and a horde of zombies and other monstrous “Bio-Organic Weapons.”
The show features live actors, thrilling action sequences, and impressive special effects to create a “super-immersive” horror experience.

The cast of heroes includes iconic characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, and Claire Redfield.
They will face off against creatures such as the Chainsaw Man, the Licker, and the formidable Nemesis.

A new feature for this year’s run is that the show will be performed with both Japanese and English voice tracks at different times each evening.
In addition to the main attraction, it was also announced that a “crossover restaurant” will be set up inside the park’s “Schwab’s Pharmacy” location.

To celebrate the show’s return, a special campaign is being held to invite select fans to a preview night.
Capcom is holding a lottery for members of its “CAPCOM ID” service, where winners will get to experience the show on a special preview night before it opens to the public.

To be eligible, applicants must live in the Kansai region of Japan.
The “Biohazard: Night of Heroes” attraction will be held at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka from Friday, the 5th of September, to Monday, the 3rd of November.
