Limited Edition Rose Gold RX-78-2 Figure Launches Alongside New Gundam x CLOT Streetwear Collab Collection
Image by Charlotte DavisGundam has teamed up with Hong Kong streetwear label CLOT for a new limited collection that brings two of the original anime’s most iconic Mobile Suits into fashion and premium collectibles.
The collaboration centers around the RX-78-2 Gundam and Char Aznable’s MS-06S Zaku II, with CLOT applying two of its best-known visual themes to the rival machines across T-shirts, accessories, and a high-end die-cast figure.

Founded by Edison Chen in 2003, CLOT has built much of its identity around combining Chinese cultural influences with contemporary streetwear, making its first official Gundam collaboration a natural opportunity to reinterpret the franchise rather than simply reproduce familiar anime artwork.

The partnership actually began earlier this year at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026, where CLOT and Bandai Spirits first showed the rose-gold “GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE CLOT RX-78-2 GUNDAM Ver. SILK ROYALE” alongside a surprise prototype of Char’s Zaku II finished in CLOT’s darker ALIENEGRA styling.

The newly released apparel capsule builds directly on those two figures, splitting its designs between the ornate Silk Royale treatment used for the RX-78-2 and the aggressive red-and-black ALIENEGRA graphics associated with Char’s Zaku II.

The RX-78-2 T-shirt uses technical-style artwork of the Gundam layered with CLOT branding and rose-gold Silk Royale patterns, carrying the same metallic and traditional Chinese-inspired influence seen across the collectible figure.

Char’s Zaku II receives a much darker counterpart, with red ALIENEGRA thorn graphics laid over the Mobile Suit artwork in a direct reference to the unreleased prototype that appeared beside the RX-78-2 at ComplexCon.

Both shirts include a shared CLOT x Gundam “CG” logo on the right sleeve, while the opposite sleeve carries either the Earth Federation Forces or Principality of Zeon insignia depending on which Mobile Suit the design represents.

The collaboration also extends into tote bags and headwear, carrying the same faction symbols and co-branded imagery into simpler everyday accessories, while the cap uses an embroidered version of the CG logo.

The Rose Gold and Red EGRA T-shirts are priced at approximately $85 / £63 each, while the CLOT x Gundam Logo Cap costs approximately $69 / £51.

The centerpiece remains the “GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. SILK ROYALE,” which uses die-cast alloy construction and detailed paintwork overseen by Hajime Katoki before covering the Gundam in rose-gold armor and flowing Silk Royale motifs.

The figure is priced at approximately $247 / £183, with accessories including its beam rifle, shield, Hyper Bazooka, Core Pod, beam sabers and display stand.

The CLOT partnership arrives during a wider push to bring Gundam further into contemporary fashion, following recent launches such as Bandai’s STRICT-G GRAFFITI range, which reworked the RX-78-2 and Char’s Zaku II through street art-inspired graphics.

Gundam has also continued experimenting with premium fashion through collaborations including Dickies workwear, KUSHITANI motorcycle apparel, and more traditional higher-end STRICT-G collections.

The CLOT x Gundam figure and accompanying apparel collection officially launched on September 4 through selected JUICE stores in Hong Kong, mainland China and Taiwan, alongside JUICESTORE’s online channels, although availability differs between regions and several items are already beginning to sell out.

CLOT and Bandai have not yet confirmed whether the displayed MS-06S Char’s Zaku II Ver. ALIENEGRA prototype will receive its own full retail release, leaving the second half of the collaboration open for a potentially much larger follow-up.
