Limited edition Death Stranding 2 DualSense controller now available to pre-order

Pre-orders are now open for a limited edition PlayStation controller based on DEATH STRANDING 2.
The DualSense wireless controller is the standard controller for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console, known for its innovative haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which aim to provide a more immersive gaming experience by simulating various sensations and resistances.

Its compatibility extends beyond the PS5, as it can also be used with PCs and mobile devices, making this limited edition controller a versatile item for a broad range of gamers.

DEATH STRANDING, released in 2019, was a groundbreaking action game developed by Kojima Productions and directed by the legendary Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic United States, where supernatural events known as the “Death Stranding” have blurred the line between the living and the dead.
Players take on the role of Sam Porter Bridges (portrayed by Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with reconnecting isolated settlements across a fragmented landscape.

“DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH” is the highly anticipated sequel, continuing the narrative from the first game and this limited edition controller, alongside a recently revealed Kotobukiya “Ghost Coffin Mechs” model kit, is just one of the many upcoming pieces of merchandise based on the game.
The limited edition DualSense controller features a sleek and sophisticated design, with a chic black main body that aligns with the game’s often melancholic and stark aesthetic.

The most distinctive elements are the markings found on the touchpad and the handles. These intricate details follow the game’s unique iconography and symbolism without being overtly flashy.

This specially designed controller is scheduled for release on June 26th, 2025, and is priced at 12,480 yen, £74.99 and $84.99 depending on your location.
Japanese pre-orders can currently be placed exclusively with Amazon, while US and European pre-orders can be placed directly with PlayStation.
